This is a FREE and open to community event!

Each year, the baby showers evolve as the creative minds of community partners find new and exciting ways to meet the three goals of the Community Baby Showers:

1. Celebrate Mat-Su Families and our newest residents

2. Provide an opportunity for parents to connect

3. Give parents an opportunity to add new skills to their parenting toolbox

In 2022 we adapted to community needs and will host smaller events throughout the Mat-Su Borough. All small, dispersed events will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and the Connect Mat-Su Event Calendar.

The community baby shower(s) are for Mat-Su families who are expecting or have an infant up to one year old. Every year we give away up to 100 gift bags that include approximately $100+ worth of baby essentials to help give the family the best start possible. Registration for gift bags is required. There will be 50 bags available for this event.

Additionally, we offer prize giveaways for participation in activities such as car seats, strollers, gifts for new big brothers or sisters, and other prizes.
