Denali Education Center presents the annual Earth Day Celebration on April 20th, 11 am-3 pm.

The day features many activities including:

• Free food provided by Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
• Non-profit Fair presented by JSCF
• Music by Cora Rose (from Art We There Yet?) 1-3 pm, with a performance by local singer-songwriters at 3 pm
• AK Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center presentation with 2 birds
• Talkeetna Elementary PTA Bake Sale
• Electronic and Battery Recycling (No limit to the number of items, standard household batteries only, no lithium batteries accepted)
• Alaska Recovery Demonstration of how “other” plastics can be used to make alternative lumber
• Neighborhood Forest Tree Pick-up for those who pre-ordered
• Bear Necessities Coalition Presentation at 3 pm (following the singer-songwriters) about how to stay bear aware, deal with trash responsibly, and how to live peacefully with our wild neighbors
