Based on the novel by Velma Wallis “Two Old Women: An Alaskan Legend of Betrayal, Courage, and Survival”.
Ch’igiioonta’ She Holds a Child (known to many as Adeline Raboff) is a direct seventh-generation descendant of Nendaaghe hut’aane Dena, in the household of Tł’eevihti’, and a sixth-generation member of the Gehikti’ family. She is a researcher, author of multiple books, a consultant for Molly of Denali, and the mother of Princess Johnson, writer and director of the film adaptation of “Two Old Women.” Ch’igiioonta’ lives and works in Fairbanks, Alaska.
