Philip Wight is an Associate Professor of History and Arctic & Northern Studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He is an energy and environmental historian with a focus on infrastructure, mobility, and climate. Phil will be speaking about Alaska’s energy history, from the biotic flows that have sustained Alaska’s peoples for centuries to the large sociotechnical systems that sustain Alaska’s contemporary economy.
