Denali Education Center is a non-advocacy, for-purpose organization and a proud partner of Denali National Park and Preserve. Our mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of Denali through fun, informative, and inspiring programs. Our 10-acre campus is home to 24 guest rooms, a combined classroom and dining hall, a lecture hall, a yurt, an employee kitchen/bath facility, and employee cabins. We operate week-long learning vacations in cooperation with numerous educational groups and organizations, primarily Road Scholar. In addition, we offer a suite of community programs, evening events, lectures, and youth programs.
Our campus is located on the edge of Denali National Park along the Nenana River. We are a diverse organization, with our roots firmly planted in the local community, and Denali National Park and Preserve. Each summer, we are lucky to welcome hard-working, motivated, and fun individuals who collectively make Denali Education Center possible. Our organization experiences a low staff turnover, so be prepared to fall in love with our dynamic and fun work community!

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR New!
DEC is excited to welcome a Marketing and Communications Director to our year-round staff. After a deep-dive into our organizational structure, this is one area that needs consistency and a professional touch. The Marketing and Communications Director is a full-time exempt position responsible for driving marketing and communications essential to DEC, leading the development and distribution of its messages. This position acts as the “face and voice” of the organization. This is a hands-on and participative manager that plays a critical role in the leadership team.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT New!
We thought we could do it all, but we can’t. The time has come to look for a brilliant office assistant who can make us shine. The right candidate will be a stickler for details and have experience with a myriad of office and accounting functions including busy telephones, sorting mail, finicky printers, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and human resource management. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite is a must. The right candidate will be clever, resilient, tenacious, and a great team player.

Available seasonal positions:
Group Leaders are responsible for leading the day-to-day activities for our adult summer learning vacations. Our learning vacations travel throughout Alaska highlighting key areas of our state. The group leader’s main roles focus on ensuring group cohesion and that everything runs smoothly as they travel with the group.
Hospitality Staff is responsible for housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness and order throughout our campus facilities.
Campus Cooks are responsible for assisting the Head Chef with kitchen and campus operations, including receiving inventory and preparation of family-style meals including meals for guests with dietary restrictions.
