Ever wonder what it would be like to live in a cabin without running water, or travel 130 miles to the nearest hospital or movie theatre? Are you curious about life in Interior Alaska during our eight long months of winter?
Life in Denali will answer all of these questions and more!
One of our year-round-residents will talk about surviving winter darkness, layering for extreme temperatures, living with wildlife, outhouse etiquette, and the everyday events that make living in interior Alaska such an adventure!
This one-hour program takes place on Denali Education Center’s 10-acre wooded campus located at mile post 230 on the Parks Highway. If you don’t have transportation the Education Center may be able to provide a shuttle to and from our campus from your hotel- please call to inquire.
