Ever wonder what it would be like to live in a cabin without running water, or travel 130 miles to the nearest grocery store? Are you curious about life in Interior Alaska during the eight long months of winter?
Life in Denali will answer all of these questions!
One of our year-round-residents will talk about surviving winter darkness, layering for extreme temperatures, living with wildlife, outhouse etiquette, and the everyday events that make living in interior Alaska such an adventure!
This one-hour program takes place in the cozy yurt on Denali Education Center’s campus- adjacent to the Charles Sheldon Center. If you don’t have transportation the Education Center may be able to provide a shuttle to and from our campus from your hotel.
