[Patty and Nan] are experts on Alaska and living in Alaska. You could take your own trip to Alaska for the Iditarod and see some of the other sights, but you would not get access to the same people with the same depth of experience.
Testimonials
Nancy Bale, Denali Citizens Council
We’ve long felt that the Education Center provides an important service to youth, in many cases providing opportunities for kids who would otherwise not be able to experience and learn about this very special area. We know that such experiences can be life altering.
Iditarod Program Participant 2015
This was my eighth successive time with this program, and there are always repeaters. I plan to sign up again next year!
Iditarod Program Participant 2014
I just don’t want to call it a “tour.” It is a program or — better — an experience. What a wonderful way to travel and learn.
Iditarod Program Participant 2014
I have attended 50+ programs and this one is #1 on the list!
Eleanor from Pukalani, HI
A wonderful experience for those who like to hike and want to learn about Denali National Park and living in the Alaska Interior both past and present.
Linda from Carmichael, CA
We really enjoyed this program, hiked in all kinds of weather, met interesting enthusiastic participants, and learned about animal, plant, and human life in Denali….A great week!
Gayle from Sacramento, CA
This was one of the best trips I’ve done. Fall is a beautiful time of year in Alaska. Everyone involved – the leaders, guides, teachers, and employees we encountered were great.
AliceAnn from Hendersonville, NC
If you want to see wilderness and wild animals roaming free in Denali National Park while you learn about them and about native people who live in the area, this is a fabulous opportunity.
Priscilla from San Antonio, TX
Having several days in one location really allowed us to feel that we got to know the area. The accommodations were simple but comfortable and the meals were great.
