From the Mountains to the Sea…
Come experience an Alaska that many people never see. Get the unique opportunity to both hike in and learn about interior and coastal Alaska- visiting two strikingly unique and beautiful national parks along the way!
This journey begins in interior Alaska and Denali National Park. Join our expert field educators in exploring Denali’s landscapes and learning about the ecology and history that have shaped it. Experience a landscape where grizzly bears walk lowland rivers, caribou roam the alpine tundra, and North America’s tallest mountain stands proudly above it all.
After traveling south, to Kenai Fjords National Park, take advantage of the chance to view the glaciers that built the cathedral fjords of the Kenai Peninsula. Spend one-day investigating the coast by boat and see first hand how Kenai’s glaciers continue to carve Alaska’s coast today, as they have for eons. The pristine Alaskan wilderness can help to put a lifetime into perspective and remind us that, in some places on earth, we are but visitors.
