Steak, burgers, and hot dogs don’t need to be the only stars of your Independence Day feast! Wow your fellow celebrators with one of Betty’s amazing salad dressings! This recipe is healthy, light, and full of flavor. Enjoy it on a chopped salad, or try it on a warm chickpea mix.
Chulitna Cilantro or Boreal Basil Vinaigrette
1⁄2 cup olive oil (add last slowly)
1⁄2 cup basil or cilantro
4 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons lime juice
4 teaspoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Place all ingredients into a blender then blend to preferred consistency.
