Our 20th Annual Auction was an enormous success! A huge THANK YOU to our supportive community – with your help, we raised over $55,000!! Hundreds of people journeyed from both near and far to bid like wild, eat delicious food, dunk fellow Denalites, and to celebrate 20 years of Auction FUNraising.
For the 20th time, auctioneer Jersey Jones and keyboardist Jimmy Sandy took to the CSC stage and entertained the auction crowds! Highlights from the evening included that famous Jersey Jump, a $500 apple pie from the Talkeetna Roadhouse, and the $1,000 Alaskatarian Food Package that went once again to the lucky bidders Melanie Hall and Kevin Kimura.
The Taste of Denali left everyone with full, and happy bellies. THANK YOU to Panorama Pizza Pub, Black Bear Coffee House, Prey Bar & Eatery, Denali Salmon Bake, Prospector’s Historic Pizzeria & Alehouse, Alpenglow Restaurant, Mountaineer Bar & Grill, Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, McKinley Chalet Resort, Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture, and the DEC Kitchen for supplying your delicious food, and servers for our 20th Annual Auction.
Our wonderful Alaskan beer for the event was generously provided by Broken Tooth Brewery and Midnight Sun Brewing Co. THANK YOU to Midnight Sun for also providing a tap set up, AND pourers for the auction! The wine for the event was graciously donated by Specialty Imports, J. Lohr Winery, The Other Guys Wine Co., Prey, and Sled Dog Groceries & Liquor. THANK YOU to the Odom Corporation for providing cases of soda and water for the event as well!
